There are
a lot of beaches in Belitung that have beautiful panorama. One of the beaches
is Tanjung Tinggi beach. Tanjung Tinggi beach is a tourism place that is
located in the island of Bangka Belitung in Tanjung Pandan region in West
Belitung, Sumatera. The location is not far from Tanjung Kelayang and it’s only
approximately 31 KM from Tanjung Pandan. This beach has 80 hectare area that
can be reached in 45 minutes from Tanjung Pandan city.
The beach that full of beauty has
it’s own natural resource. Starting from the white sand, high cliffs, etc. You
wouldn’t find any garbages in that beach. Tanjung Tinggi beach has hundres of
high and huge granite stones and that makes this beach as a main tourism place.
The meaning of the name Tanjung Tinggi beach is: Tanjung means peninsula, and
Tinggi means high (the beach has a lot of high stones/cliffs).
The beach that is located between
the granite stones has very clear blue water . This beach once used as a
shooting location of Laskar Pelangi (The Rainbow Troops). Visitors can do a lot
of stuffs in this beach, like fishing around the granite stones, swimming, surfing,
etc.
There are
a lot of beaches in Belitung. Beside Tanjung Tinggi beach, there’s Tanjung
Kelayang beach. Tanjung Kelayang tourism is one of the tourism object that is
located in Sijuk districk. This
place is always be the tourists’ favourite. The distance of Tanjung Kelayang
from the center of the city is 27KM. There’s something interesting about this
beach. You can see a stone of eagle head in the middle of the sea. It is the
mascot of the Tanjung Kelayang beach. The location of the eagle head seem
unique and interesting.
